Yesterday was parent visit day at Madelyn's school. Very cute. I like the little handprints on the bulletin board with thing they were thankful for. Madelyn is apparently thankful for her dollhouse. Her friends were thankful for such things as trees and chicken. Love the candidness of children.
One of the funniest moments during the 1 hour visit was when the teacher was reading out the job choosers for the day. Half the class was able to choose a job and half would choose on Wednesday. The teacher called off all the names of the chosen first and then the names of those who would have a turn the next day. At the end, little Abigail, who was sitting right in there with the rest of the class, said so sweetly and innocently, "Abby too!" Everyone chuckled and the teacher agreed, "yes, Abby, when you come to school next year you will have a job." She was just as tickled as could be to be in the school. If she continues to shirk her nap, she might just find herself in afternoon preschool this year.
