Merry Christmas Eve

We are in full Santa wait mode. We received a video message earlier today so we know Madelyn and Abigail are on his list (he called them by name and had their photo in his book!!) The magic reindeer food has been sprinkled on the lawn. The cookies and milk are out. We tracked Santa on the computer and he is getting close. We are ready:

But it has been a great day. Much of the day I could not locate my camera (minor tragedy!) so I had to resort to a disposable camera. The kids could not figure out why they could not see the photos after they were taken. (Kids today!) But one of the top stories of the day was the celebration of Nana's birthday. We went out for a fun lunch, got to sing and watch her open presents.

Going to Mass tonight was also a highlight. We went to a local monestary parish that had an amazing service. The music, the live pageant.....it was very impressive. We accidently sat in the reserved section. (We wondered why those seats were available! We thought it was the Catholic thing...no one likes to sit up front.) But we had a perfect view of all the action. The girls were so into it. Madelyn was reflecting on the time 4 years ago when she played the "Baby Jesus"--her big debut at only 9 days old. It was a really special Mass though and a perfect way to really celebrate the reason for the season.

Merry Christmas!
