Who says we are no longer spontaneous? We decided just in the last few days that we are joining some family friends at a beach house in North Carolina! Spontaneity has a new look with two kids.....but planning such a trip with just a few days as about as good as it gets these days I guess. We are so excited and have been busy pulling it all together for the long weekend trip!
The family of one of Madelyn's BFFs is planning a week in the Outer Banks and when their other guests (my friend's sister) cancelled we got the call. I have never been to North Carolina much less the beaches there but "the OBX" is certainly all the rage. The long drive has always been a little daunting. We'll see if it is worth it. We are pretty much packed now and just watching the weather. It seems like Hurricane Bill may make for some BIG waves for the first few days but we were not planning on much ocean swimming anyway.
OBX, here we come!
