Stick it to me

Another hot stock tip buy into things that stick...namely stickers and Band-Aids. Because our household is going through them both like you would not believe. There have been many days where I have left the house without thinking about the "I'm a Big Kid!" or "No More Diapers" sticker stuck to my shirt. "Gee, that's great for you, lady" people who see must think. Of course very few people would actually comment.

We do have a reward chart going and that calls for lots of stickers. "Pick!" she always says and makes us spread them all out. Even though we are not fully potty training yet we just started to give Madelyn a sticker on her chart for successful trips to the bathroom. It's amazing how excited a sticker can make her but whatever works.

Band-Aids are another hot commodity. Especially now in prime boo-boo season with all the outdoor playing and inevitable skinned knees. She still talks about a scrape on her knee from last summer. But already the Spring/Summer '07 boo-boos are out in full force. (It's tough to avoid since she is often wearing dresses. Due to her tiny little waist, dresses are really the best fitting clothes on her.) Actually it takes very little for her to need a Band-Aid. One night she went to bed with at least 4 Band-Aids. She definitely did not have 4 boo-boos but, again, whatever works for her.

Maybe I should looking into some sort of stick-anonymous support groups.....

The best part about today: We had an amazing walk this morning. It was like a little walking train. By the time we got out in the neighborhood loop, some had already made a lap or two but when they dropped off we met others along the way.
