Pumpkin carving

The night before Halloween pumpkin carving is such a fun tradition. I did it when I was little and I am happy, excited and overjoyed to pass the tradition on to my family. But pumpkin carving with little ones is kind of a different experience. All the knives and cutting instruments, lying around. I have girly girls that don't like to get too messy so they wanted nothing to do with the cool, tactile experience of pulling out the seeds and pulp. Plus the whole idea of carving pumpkins together kind of turned into, "hey kids, why don't you sit around and watch Mommy and Daddy carve pumpkins?" But it went well and no one got hurt. They even got to break some rules like touching sharp instruments and sitting on the table. See below.
