I had mentioned this a while back that a baby boy in our community, Jeremy Morse, was battling for his life. It has had a huge impact on the community and in my own circles especially since we have several mutual friends. There have been, and continue to be, multiple fundraising efforts for the family and their astounding hospital bills. It seems everyone has tried to rally around this family and be supportive in any way they can.
Since April 1st his family has been on a roller coaster as he did quite well (and it appeared he may get on the heart transplant list) and very low lows (complicated and expensive machines, world-renowned doctors flown in from around the world for treatments, etc.) The weekend was especially rough as you can read about (probably tearfully!) on his website*. It appears the brave battle will end today. My heart absolutely breaks for this family. I know the angels in heaven will treasure this little boy until his mommy and daddy can hold him again but that sure does not make today or the days to come any easier.
Please join us in praying for them.
