Gym-nots

How can this be? Talk about not knowing your child well. Abigail is not really digging gymnastics. She cried when we tried to bounce on the trampoline, she cried when the instructor tried to help her do a flip over the bar, she refused to swing on the rope.... Yikes! I totally thought this would be right up her alley. Maybe she needs time to adjust and get into it. Right now her favorite part if the little climbing area with slide which, hello!?, they have something similar at Chick-fil-A! I will say she did try some things she did not last time like the backward roll she was kind of into (with help from the instructor) and she climbed through this upward tunnel thing like a champ. She seems to excel at the balance beam (a fav. from last week) and the uneven bars. C'mon Abby, release your inner monkey!

Madelyn on the other hand, who does NOT need another activity and really just got to go due to scheduling difficulties, absolutely loves her class! She is pretty good too. I see her flipping all around, balancing and looking all gymnast-like. There might be a protest from her if we try to withdraw. We'll see how it goes the rest of the month for Abby girl. It was only day 2.
